Salute to women in aviation and aerospace!

June 16, 2012 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Free admission!

The Mojave Transportation Museum Foundation will recognize the importance and significance of women in aviation and aerospace throughout history and into the future. It would be wonderful if we could inspire the next generation of women to pursue careers in aviation and aerospace!

Along with JoAnn Painter and aerospace companies at Mojave Air & Space Port, we have also invited Flora Belle Reece, World War II WASP, Women Airforce Service Pilot; NASA Dryden and the Antelope Valley Ninety-Nines (International Organization of Women Pilots) to set up displays.

Our guest speaker this month is Mary E. (Lyn) McNeely, Instructor Flight Test Engineer at the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB.

Lyn instructs military and civilian pilots, navigators, and flight test engineers on aerospace vehicle performance, flying qualities systems, and flight test management during both yearlong professional courses and various short courses at the USAF Test Pilot School.

Come out to Mojave Air & Space Port for breakfast or lunch, listen to a great speaker and enjoy some time with other pilots and aviation minded friends!

Fly in and display your aircraft for Plane Crazy Saturday!
Wen Painter will be on hand in the Voyager Restaurant to sign Tax-exempt forms for pilots.

All guests are reminded to observe flightline safety rules, including: no touching propellers, no running, no pets, and keep a watchful eye for taxiing aircraft! Thanks! Enjoy a day at Mojave Air & Space Port!

See you there!
